International cooperation

International cooperation is one of the most important activities of the TSMU, contributing to the solution of the main tasks of the university, such as the preparation of highly qualified specialists, development of medical science priority directions and provision of high quality medical care. Establishing effective partnerships with foreign scientific and educational institutions and international organizations are the basis for the development of active partnerships that assume a regular exchange of teachers, researchers and graduate students.
TSMU is included in the catalog of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER - www.faimer.org ), the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG - www.ecfmg.org) and Medical Universities directory of the World Health Organization (WHO - http://www.who.int/hrh/wdms/en/). Improving the quality of education and increasing the level of medical personnel training for the country's health system is a priority for the university management. To achieve goals we learn from the experience of the best foreign medical schools, as well as all existing real possibilities of the University.
A significant place in the international activities of the university has traditionally been given for co-operation with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC - https://www.eda.admin.ch/sdc), the World Health Organization (WHO), the EU Tempus Program, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Project USAID «Quality Health Care", the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ - https://www.giz.de ), the Open Society Institute (Soros Foundation - www.opensocietyfoundations.org), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA - http://www.unfpa.org/transparency-portal/unfpa-tajikistan) and others.
